Stupid Wrist-Mounted Timekeeping Device!

So the battery indicator on my watch has been blinking telling me that the battery is going dead. So I go out and buy a new battery, take the back off the watch, remove the old battery and put in the new on and now the watch doesn't work at all.

I took the new battery back out and put the old one back in and still the same thing...dead watch. So I guess I just wasted $5 on a new battery when it was actually the watch that was going out.

Damn it!

I wonder if I can take the battery back since its been opened?
