I think my motherboard is fried
I'm currently posting this from my laptop...
So yesterday I was on my computer and the keyboard just suddenly stopped working. I tried simply restarting but then my mouse stopped working as well. So I turned everything off and unplugged everything and plugged it all back in.
Then when I restarted the keyboard lit up like normal but the mouse still didn't light up or work and the monitor wouldn't turn on. So I left everything off for about a half hour and then turned it back on and it worked fine for the rest of the day. And completely spacing of the problems I'd had, I put the computer into standby mode when I went to bed.
However, when I turned it on this morning the keyboard, mouse and monitor wouldn't turn on again. Then when I shut it down and tried to restart it wouldn't respond at all. So I opened it up and checked all the connections then hooked it all back up. Now as soon as I plug the power cord in it started right up but the keyboard, mouse and monitor still won't come on. Plus if I turn it off, it turns itself back on within a minute or so (or if I hit the number lock key on the keyboard).
Am I right in thinking its the motherboard or might it be something else?
