Well it's been a while since my last update and I'm sorry, but I've been on ship for most of the last month.
I am no longer on remedial PT which means that now when I PT it is on my own program rather than someone else's. Now when I was on ship I was basically on my own, but the times were decided for me and I had to always have someone there to make sure I really did what I said I did. The SgtMaj is happy because while I on the last PFT I ran the three miles in more than 34 minutes and this one was in 25. So I made a huge improvement in a month.
Medical says that i have a condition called costochondritis. Basically it is an inflamation of the cartilage around the ribcage. They gave me naproxin which I am to take twice daily and I'm also supposed to ice my chest. In two weeks I come off light duty and it will be interesting to see if they try and make me run a PFT right then. If they do I'll just throw the order in their face that states a Marine cannot run a PFT within a certain time after coming off limited duty. The interesting thing about today's PFT is the fact that without doing the pullups which are 5 points per I almost got the same score as the last full PFT I ran that I didn't fail.
The ex is still calling me once in a while. Monday morning she called at 3 in the morning. I guess I am the one she talks to now. All the drama that she continues to make in her life she tells me about. Sometimes it makes me hate what I feel for her. I love her, I really do. But my head is telling me that I should stop talking to her. She's very immature and inexperienced in life. And she believes that she's ready to marry at the ripe old age of 19. I was there once too.
Well this has gone on long enough I think, so I'll talk to you all later.
