Maybe this time I'll make it last. I've made quite a few attempts at writing or keeping up a journal of sorts. It has always faded into obscurity and then simply went out of my head. I managed to be quite consistent when I backpacked in central America. But I was a different person back in 2006. Younger. Without a wife, dog and 4-month old baby.
Maybe this time it'll last. I hope it does. I like writing. I love it actually. It's what pays the bills, or at least some of them. But writing for a living has also eaten up into some of the passion that used to burn inside me about recreational writing. The "professional" stuff comes at the expense of something.
What's this journal going to be about? Family life, I guess, although my wife hates it when I post pictures of her on the Internet. She's not a big fan of our daughter (Rotem) becoming an online thing too. So maybe it'll just be me and Gerrard (our dog), most of the time at least.
And opinions. And stuff I like on the Internet. And maybe about sports. Had to bring work into this, huh? Yeah, I did.
And my name is Ehud. Or Udi. And I'm 32. And I get bored at night, so this is now a place I'm going to try and hang out in. Cheers.
