Good reading
I don't really do book reviews usually, but there is something I wanted to bring to your attention, as recently one of the books of a dear friend of mine who writes in German has been translated into English, and since I have enjoyed this book enormously, I just thought I'd point you to it.
Missouri is a truly special gay love story, set in the American Midwest in the nineteenth century, between two improbable partners.
I have been hoping for some time that Christine's books finally become available in English, she has won several literary awards for her work already and finally a wider audience will be able to enjoy it! Her style is rather unique, as are her protagonists. I can't wait that somebody decides to translate her biography of the castrato singer Filippo Balatri, at least they will reprint it, as it has been out of print for too long!
