..and so this morning, for the first time ever, I am using my quite new reading glasses also to work on the computer. I have resisted this as long as possible, but well, when you have to strain your eyes like crazy to read some of the smaller stuff on the screen (and believe me, EU-reports are FULL of small stuff..) probably it is better to accept ( Read more... )

You look just fine, nothing bovine about it. Maybe would have done better with slimer frame, less 1960s - 1970s, but otherwise you're just fine. Especially since you don't have to wear them all the time.

I took the cheapest frame. Everything else would have cost a lot more.

you look fine, though i think you could probably find a more flattering pair to make you feel better. :)

that would COST. A LOT. And therefore not make me feel better. Anyway, how I look with them is really the least important part, as I don't wear them when I am anywhere else than sitting in front of a computer or reading at home. It is more the feeling of something extraneous in my face that bugs me..

really?? here you can just buy them very inexpensively in drugstores.

at any rate you still look lovely in them! and i'm sure you'll get used to the feeling of them on your face. it's like anything else - a wristwatch, jewellery or whatever - it feels weird at first but then it's ok. i never used to wear rings of ANY kind and it was quite weird for me at first to be wearing an engagement/wedding ring, but now my hand feels naked without it. :D

yeah here too you get them in drugstores, but they are all like this one, not really particularly beautiful.
As for the feeling.. I do use sunglasses for driving, but have never gotten used to them. But I guess I will have to (even if as I am typing this I have taken them off, as at the moment I seem to be able to do well without them again :)

Oh, they look fine! You look very industrious, and not at all like a cow.

You look fine to me. Anyway, whoever heard of a cow with glasses? :-D

I have the opposite problem. I've been short-sighted since childhood, so I'm used to wearing glasses all the time so that I don't say hallo to strange lamp posts. Now, however, creeping presbyopia (and at my ridiculously early age, too!) is forcing me to take my glasses off to read small print, especially in poor light or if I am tired. And I don't like that one bit.

It's all about what you're used to, I think. :-)
