Unexpected free time

May 28, 2018 13:12

well, not really free, I have more than enough stuff to do, but I have not to drive to my lawyer client this afternoon, which makes today A LOT less stressful.
Obviously part of the stress was due to me procrastinating like whoa over the weekend and not doing One Single Thing of all I have looming over me.
Well, a good thing I have just heard right now about not having to go to the other client, so this a.m. I worked in the highly efficient way only procrastinators are able to when all their deadlines are going to autocombust over them, LOL. Meaning, I actually might be able to finish some stuff today without major negative consequences or working through the night.
I'll never learn. But it was so nice sitting outside with the cats and listening to the birds....

In other news, in one month this journal will be 15 years old. Can you imagine? So many things happened, so many people entered and exited my life, there were places, emotions, crises, deaths, births, so much stuff! I am so very, very grateful for this safe place and am not certain my mind would have held through a few of these times without having the possibility to come here, unburden, discuss, whine, be comforted, be myself.
So, what shall I do to celebrate? Picture posts starring some of the highlights of these years? Reposting some memorable (for me) entries? Hosting a friendzy meme? Hmm. I'm open for suggestions :)

Still sticking to the diet, go me, but as usual, after the first few days not seeing much success for it. Slightly less bloated but most of the summer clothes still don't fit even approximately. Sigh.

For the rest, I've been watching lots of soccer lately, my beloved Inter will play in Europe Champions' League again next season, my old Munich team 1860 has managed to advance one level from the deepest province league they were playing in this year due to financial problems, and obviously, World Championships are coming up, yay. Lots and lots of match watching in my immediate future :D. My mom has changed some stuff in their sitting room and we have inherited a VERY comfortable easychair, so both Dan and I will be reclining happily without having to squish in two on the small sofa for which we really should weight about half of what we actually do :D. That is well and nice during the cold winter evenings, but when it is hot and your body is sticky and sweaty (sorry for the TMI) being not too close to other human beings while watching exciting games is kind of recommendable ;). Closeness during these months is nicer in the early morning hours ;).

Ok, back to do some more work, right?
