I am really excited about my birthday. Tonight I am bringing cake to the theater where we are going to play 100 blank white cards while Zak, Ashley, and Dana are at work. Then tomorrow we are going to Chipotle, and the casino. Saturday Dana and I are going to have a romantic dinner and see the Sex and the City movie.
Woo! Plus my mom gave me 50$ for clothes for my birthday. She tried really hard but couldn't buy me anything. Which is good cause I love shopping. So Dana and I went to the mall yesterday and I got a cute pink shirt, 10$ jeans!, 10$ cute teal satin slip on shoes, and a gray dress. I also bough myself a cute 10$ dress the other day to wear on my birthday. Now I have a new outfit for each day/activity. lol I'm such a girl sometimes.
Dana and I watched Garden State last night. We were talking about how that movie had an effect on most of the people our age who saw it. I started thinking. It's sad but I think that is true because we are all sort of floating. There aren't any huge cultural things happening right now. I know the war in Iraq is there but besides our gas tanks (and those of us who have family in the military) we aren't really effected by it. Its not like Vietnam, or WWI & II. Apathy reigns. I just feel like everyone is waiting for something to happen but no one is doing anything to make something happen, both on a small and large scale. It's weird. Maybe I just don't see it.
I love that movie. I love how quiet and simple it is while still being so astoundingly deep. *sigh*
On another note my tattoo is finally peeling. Gah its taking forever!
Off to clean house before I get to eat cake!
Out.
