And so I'm back from the dead...I mean, the hospital. Yeah, I was confined (again) due to excruciating abdominal pains.
It happened just this Tuesday after lunch while I was walking (or TRYING to walk) to 7F. Actually, the pain was already bothering me the night before, but I dismissed it as something minor. I woke up the next day feeling much better and went about the morning normally. However, as I was walking from the workroom to 7F to give a letter to Wesley (for his mom), I suddenly had to stop outside 7B's classroom because the pain in my abdomen was so severe that I had to stop and just leaned on the railing in tears. Thank goodness the concerned and loving gr7 teachers were there to help me and bring me to the infirmary where the doctor gave me a pain reliever. I waited for my driver to pick me up and drive me to Manila Doctor's Hospital where I was immediately confined and loaded with drugs...er...medication *lol*
Yesterday morning I was scheduled to undergo an ultrasound. They concluded that the pain was caused by my endometriosis (the same reason why I underwent surgery Novermber of last year). They also discovered a very tiny myoma (a benign tumor of smooth muscle in the wall of the uterus). My doctor said that it's nothing to worry about since it's still very small, and hopefully, with the new medicines she prescribed, it'll be dissolved.
So basically, I've been prescribed to take (more) new medicines. I've also been told that beef should not be in my diet anymore because beef causes imbalances in my immune(?) system which can lead to the worsening of my endometriosis, and that I should slowly try to convert into a vegetarian. HELP! Sure, I'm a vegetable eater, but to become a vegetarian?! Ack. Kill me now! Hahaha! While she didn't actually require that I turn strictly vegetarian, she highly encouraged it. The beef though is a non-negotiable, I think.
I'm also still not allowed to engage in strenuous activities nor to stress myself out. I have to take it easy or else my condition will worsen. Well, i'll TRY, but knowing the nature of my work, it'll be quite a challenge.
I'm happy that I'm much better now and that I'm finally back home. At least it's a San Juan Holiday today and I still have the opportunity to rest. Tomorrow, it's back to putting my nose to the grindstone.
