Melou's actually in a good mood today. And, of course, when Melou's in a good mood, it means he's walking around with a smirk on his face and looking (and acting) like a cocky arrogant bastard. At the moment, he's also looking extraordinarily pleased with himself

Well, here's an uncle, who thinks sexing up ladies is absolutely acceptable. Ha.

He's smoking his pipe out on the patio, as usual.

Feel free to come preen, or something, Melou. He'll be kindly and amused.

Melou's just coming out from inside.

"Hello, Uncle," he says, and, for once, he's clearly in a good mood. It might be a bit shocking.

Gawain's not even sure what to make of that.

Who are you and what have you done with my nephew, he wants to ask.

".... Nephew," he says, instead. "Art well?"

"I'm fine," Melou says, and he is actually smiling. Try not to faint from shock, Gawain.

Gawain thinks this is so weeeeeird.

".... Have you eaten aught, Melou?"

He means aught weird.

"No? What do you mean?"

He's just happy! He's allowed to be happy, isn't he?

Gawain is squinting.

"And when was our last talk, Nephew?"

He's now going for the body snatcher hypothesis.

"I don't remember. Why?"

He looks amused. He's enjoying this.

Gawan merely examines him a long while.

Then he pounces, takes him by the collar, typist willing.

"What hast thou done with my nephew, imposter?"

Hope that's alright, I thought it might be lolzy.

Melou looks briefly surprised, then starts laughing.

He thinks this is absolutely hilarious.

It's fine. And incredibly lolzy.

The laughter is even more unsettling, and so Gawain shakes the person who is now most definitely not his nephew.

"What hast thou done with my blood?" he hollers, "speak now, ere I vanquish this trick for good."

Melou is laughing so hard he can hardly breathe.

"Uncle--" he manages, before he starts cracking up again.

He thinks you are a total idiot, Gawain.

"I am Gawain of Orkney," he bellows. "And ere you prove you are my nephew, you shan't dub me kin, you hear?"

Melou's laughter finally dies down, though he's still sniggering a little. "You're stupid."

Gawain loves you too, Melou.

Though this is more like the nephew he knows.

Hence a pause.

A stare.

And then, typist willing, a slap, the kind you give little boys.

Normally, that would piss Melou off.

But, given the mood he's in today, it just makes him start laughing again.

ALSO omg, i got snowed under by RL and completely forgot to mention: Hisoka told Melou about what happened to his younger brother, and Melou would absolutely tell Gawain, because he's not repressed enough to keep the death of a family member secret. So we should probablt do a thread or something. (Also, apologies for any typos, this ipad won't let me sxroll in text boxes, I can't actually SEE half of what I'm writing.)
