Melou's actually in a good mood today. And, of course, when Melou's in a good mood, it means he's walking around with a smirk on his face and looking (and acting) like a cocky arrogant bastard. At the moment, he's also looking extraordinarily pleased with himself

If Melou should walk down by the lake, he'll find Hisoka in his ice skates, coasting on the lake's frozen surface. He is being wary, because he's heard Iskierka melted part of in order to take a bath, some weeks ago, and he isn't sure if it that area has completely solidified again, yet. So he is testing the ice, so to speak.

He spots Melou with that incredible smirk on his face. "You look happy," he calls. He angles towards shore....so he can get a better look.

"I do not," Melou says, because he has to be contrary and deny everything.

He's still grinning like an idiot, though.

"Yes, you do," says Hisoka.

[daddyissuesjnr]

"I do not," Melou says again, but he's only half serious.

[in_summer_leaf]

"Sure you do. Usually, you scowl, like this..." (Hisoka gives a quick imitation of Melou's habitual lineface.) "...but now you're smiling, like the cat who swallowed the canary. Or who got swallowed, as the case may be. So, there you are."

"My face never looks like that," Melou protests, a bit indignantly. Even though he knows that it does.

"No?" says Hisoka. "You mean it looks all happy, like it does now?"

[daddyissuesjnr]

"I already told you that I don't look happy."

[in_summer_leaf]

"You did before you started arguing. And you kind of do, even now."

[daddyissuesjnr]

"I do not," Melou insists, but he can't help smiling a little when he says it.

[in_summer_leaf]

"So if you were smiling, what might you be smiling about?" asks Hisoka, shifting his ground.

[daddyissuesjnr]

"I wouldn't be smiling about anything, because I'm not smiling," Melou counters. You can't win that easily, Hisoka.

[in_summer_leaf]

"Okay, so what would you call what you do have on your face? -- an upside-down frown?" Hisoka never gives up, even if he can't win easily.

[daddyissuesjnr]

"There's no such thing as an upside-down frown, Hisoka," Melou says. He thinks that is an incredibly stupid suggestion.

"How can you say there isn't any such thing, when you've got one right on your face?" asks Hisoka, smugly.

[daddyissuesjnr]

"I couldn't possibly have one on my face, since they're not real," Melou replies, just as smugly.
