Don't call it a comeback...no,seriously....
So, Here we are to start a revolution. Bringing back the ghost that is LJ, but things are different than they were..undeniably different. I'm inspired by IMMUTABLE's posts, trying to throw herself back into that stream of consciousness random thought yadda yadda like we used to. Rmemeber when I went through that phase where I ditnt correct any of my typing errors? Gotta ckeesp it real. HOly crap I suck at typings. hahaha. anyway, let's hit refresh and start on a clean slate. I guess I'll re-introduce myself to you, faithful followers (and you stalkers, I know you're still here) So...Hi, I'm Daniel. Male, age 29 (just a few days ago) balding. aged. burned. lots of years welding now. fatter than I'd like to admit, but then I see pictures of myself and I'm horrified. So here I am...uhmm...yep. that's about all I had. Just started a new job a few weeks ago, at a welding shop right around the corner from the apartment. seriously 4 minutes drive time. I'd had my eye on this place since we moved in, and finally made contact with them a few months ago... the last job I had the guy decided not to pay us, and still owes me over a thousand dollars. bummer. I'll have my day in court , I guess. so then I spent a couple of weeks FREAKING out...wondering what the next move was... and then in one day I had about 3 job offers, suddenly. And the guy from the shop around the corner called, so I jumped on it. going pretty well so far. Learning more, which is always great. Laying out structural steel, getting lots of practice looking at prints and flux core welding...anyways, here's a survey Sarah put up. Let's do eet.
1. When you wash your hands, do you use the cold or hot tap (faucet)? HOT. and usually Lava soap or something similar. I'm dirty.
•2. If you had to be straight/gay for a day (whichever you’re currently not!), what celebrity would you most like to take on a date? uhmmm...Can I just have a bro-date with Jimmy Diresta or Jesse James or someone so we can build some cool stuff?
•3. What is the biggest injury you’ve ever sustained and how did you do it? I hurt my lower back 2 years ago, I picked up a large tool box I had welded up at work and something twisted the wrong way in my back. Spent a few months laying around on the couch, lots of physical therapy, and a ton of run-around from doctors and insurance goons. Still isn't fixed right. Try to be careful nowdays.... don't wanna re-live that.
•4. What is the most unusual food you’ve ever eaten? Uhmmmm...I dated a vegetarian once, she made me try lots of strange things. ha.
•5. What is the most unique animal you’ve ever touched? Kangaroos at Kentucky down under...?
•6. What’s the most expensive gift you’ve ever bought for someone? Stephanie's engagement ring. ?
•7. Which 3 countries would you LEAST like to live in and why? Australia - have you seen the animals that live there? Russia - too cold, geographically and personality-wise. Japan - too many people per square mile. yep.
•8. If you could make just ONE change to this world, what would it be and why? World peace. or at least National peace. I'm no genius, and I don't know when and where the world got so screwy, but even in my lifetime it seems like things have just gotten worse every few years. C'mon, people now...smile on your brother...everybody get together...try to love one another...right now...?
•9. If you could wake up tomorrow and be fluent in 3 additional languages, which would you choose? German(I was born there, it'd be nice to visit and not feel like an alien), Russian(it sounds cool), and Spanish (the most useful, I speak bad Spanglish at best currently.)
•10. Which would you rather out of these 3 options? A: Be good looking and extremely intelligent but so poor you live on the streets. B: Be extremely intelligent and a millionaire but what society classes as ugly. Or C: Be good looking and a millionaire but extremely academically challenged? Why? This question is dumb.
•11. What are the top 10 movies to make you cry? (Or at least make you sad!) ha, right off the top of my head I'd say RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3, LASSIE, THE NOTEBOOK, .... that's all I can think of right now and I'm not going to try any harder. sorry.
•12. What’s the scariest nightmare you’ve ever had? Describe it in detail. I have this recurring dream that I'm a small child, and in my Grandma's old house...the baby gates are up and I can't talk. I'm trying to get everyone's attention but they're in the other room and won't look at me..and I can't make a sound. not sure why, but this dream always freaks me out really bad. oh, and then the ones where I find my grandfather and he's in a cave out back rotting but still somehow alive...he's been dead for several years....never really got to say goodbye...but really, who does?
•13. Would you rather raise 25 children or have the chance of ever having children taken away? Why? again, stupid question.

Would you rather go on a relaxing beach type holiday to the Caribbean, a cultural holiday to Japan or an adventure packed holiday to South Africa? ha. of those three I'll take the Caribbean, but my dream vacation would be a road trip around the US, up to Maine, across the Midwest ,swinging back down into Sioux Falls for a few days , and then out to Washington state... then back around through Vegas, just to see it, and back home through wherever is quickest.
•15. If you went to a desert island for just 6 months but could only take one album with you, what would you take? Jimmy Buffet's greatest hits I guess. ha.
•16. Put these in order of your favourite movie genre to least: Horror, action, thriller, adventure, superhero, romance, drama, comedy, musical and dance? uhm....these questions...are terrible....Horror, action,comedy, everything else, and musical as an absolute last. gah..musicals....yuck.
•17. If you had to lose one of the 5 senses, which would you choose and why? I've already lost a lot of my hearing and have hearing aids, so i would not give that up. taste, then I could eat healthier and it wouldn't suck so much.
•18. What have been the top 3 most brilliant days of this year? Describe them in as much or as little detail as you like. Starting my new job, My birthday, and the day I set up a booth and sold my metal art. that was fun.
•19. What do you believe we as human beings take most for granted in this world? water. at least here in America.
•20. How many concerts have you been to in your life and which was your favourite? uhmmmm...(counting on my fingers) I dunno.... around 25 or 30. Local H w/ The Weeks was epic. But so was The Melvins. one of those two.
