Well, I was supposed to be, but I guess it didn't happen.

... Which is kind of worrying, actually.

[By now, Minato's staring at the journal, as obvious by his little picture in the corner.]

Is this journal some sort of weird looking radio? Your voice is the second I've heard come from it.

Where is this and where are my clothes?

[The boy laughs a little.]

Did you just arrive?

This place is called Luceti. I don't really understand all of it, but there's a group called the Malnosso who kidnapped all of us and gave us wings. But we can't use them to fly or anything.

You can usually find your clothes in one of the shops in the village. And don't worry, nothing costs anything.

At least it's kind of warm now. When I arrived it was snowing!

[Minato chuckles weakly.]

I suppose it's obvious, isn't it?

... Well, at least they're around here.

[There's thud and the sound of dirt under a foot.]

A place called Luceti, Malnosso, moneyless shops that sell your clothes, no longer snowing. That's a lot to digest at once. But there's more, right?

[not_takatomon]

Yeah. A lot more. There's a war going on, I think. Sometimes the Malnosso come and ask for people to help them fight. And other times they take some of the people here away and hurt them.

[daddyflash]

... Well, that part almost sounds like home. War's something I'm used to. ... But I'm even less found of torture.

[He sounds a bit more serious now and less confused.]

There's a place in the village that has a lot more information about how everything works here.

That'll be useful--what does it look like?

[A very long pause.]

... And why does it feel like I have wings?

Because you do? The Malnosso give everyone wings. I have them too.

... Well, this is new. I could only feel them, so I wanted to be sure.

They're kind of small, so you can't actually do anything with them. Which is too bad. I think it would be fun to fly.

It's too bad. I wouldn't mind flying, either.

So they're just for decoration and irritation whenever you try to put your shirt on, then?
