I am Cher and I play Illyria bluetilator and Kaien Cross daddyderpest

Talk to me via:
• alienhuntergirl at gmail
• thawrecka on plurk
• I am usually logged into IRC on one of my character names when threading and am pingable using any of the following stalk words: Cher, Chermelon, Cross, hanna papa, Illy, Illyria, Kaien, vampire robot

I think I'm fairly approachable and I'm quite happy to talk things out. I'm no ogre, so there's definitely no need to be intimidated by me. Part of what I love about this game is getting to talk to so many fun people!

Timezone and Scheduling Issues: I live on the east coast of Australia, I work full time 8-4 in a job without internet, my commute is about an hour each way depending on public transport issues and I study full time nine months of the year so I can be hard to catch! I do most of my RP on the weekends. If you want to schedule something with me, feel free to drop me a line and we can work things out. I'll also happily pick up most threads for ages, though I burn out quicker on Illyria threads.

Posting/Jumping/Thread-Dropping: Feel free to jump my threads anywhere. I tend to drop Illyria threads faster because playing her too much burns me out. Nudge me if you want and I'll always pick up.

The playing experience:

Illyria - is volatile, violent and ridiculous, yes. I am really flexible when it comes to Illyria threads. Illyria threatens lots of people but that doesn't mean they have to fight! Even if she seriously wants to fight she can still back off, or I can have her distracted by something and wander off.

I will happily go with whatever happens in a fight thread. Knock her unconscious! Kill her! Whatever, it's fun! Illyria will regenerate just wanting to fight again so there's no drama there. If you're okay with her doing something unpleasant to your character I'm also quite happy to roll with the repercussions of that. Part of the fun of playing Illyria is getting to say outlandish things and piss characters off. Figuring out how each character's fancy powers work or don't against each other = also fun!

Illyria lives in and around Marcy's silo and is committed to her interpretation of her camp job so I'm more likely to throw her into a post about Marcy.

You may notice: she is always armed to the teeth, and looks like a skinny 5'8" woman. Canon says she appears how she wants to but playing with that sounds like more effort than it's worth for me as an RP-er.

Cross - He senses vampires but he's not likely to bring it up IC. He likes vampires and most of his friends in canon are kind of awful, so whatever, it's all good. He is a pacifist and, outside of flashbacks, the only two times he picks up his sword are to defend vampires, so fighting is extremely unlikely to happen. I would be uncomfortable having to seriously injure or kill him in a thread, not just for myself but also for the implications for my cast, so let's not go there.

My favourite things about the character are his eccentricity, his passion for peace with vampires and his love for Yuuki and Zero so as a player I tend to prefer playing those things, rather than Serious Vampire Drama!!! Which is not to say I won't play angst if necessary - I will - but it's not my preference and getting caught up in all the vampire things would be kind of draining and more responsibility than I want out of my RP. But characters noticing and calling him on being a lying, secretive, manipulative dick is totally fine.

You may notice: conspicious lack of scarring, layers of tacky clothing, his neck is never uncovered, and if you reside in Boys 9 he now hides his sword under his bed.

In general: For me a lot of the fun of cfud is getting to interact so widely with so many different characters from various canons and make all sorts of interesting CR. I really like developing relationships, especially with Cross. However, I will also happily do an Illyria thread that's just short and interesting even if it's not likely to lead anywhere. I will thread with whatever type of characters. Let's throw things against the wall and see what sticks! Sometimes really surprising CR is the most magical. I like to go with how a relationship is flowing rather than trying to plan it out because it's more fun for me that way.

I lean towards crack (the more absurd the better) more than angst but angst can be delicious to play out when done well. I'm happy to go with what works. If something is getting too hard for me to play with I will tell the other player, rather than suffering in silence. I want RP to be fun for me and the people playing with me.
