Rambling the break away...
Nothing like a couple of parties at the end of the week to make the middle of it drag along slowly. At least today I feel better about things in general than I have in a while... I keep waiting for it to come crashing down around me, though.
Tried to drag A into a discussion on politics yesterday, but he didn't bite. Too bad. I would have liked to hear his opinions. Been busting my brain working all morning, so I don't know if I could shift gears to talk about that sort of stuff today anyway.
Haven't heard from W yet today. We had a bit of an awkward moment as she was leaving last night -- I didn't think she was going to hug me goodbye in front of K2. I think we managed to smooth our way through it, regardless. I've been feeling a lot better about K2 in the last 24 hours, as well.
S/he's really good at listening and getting involved in those kid things that I just find too innane (Poke Mon, for instance) to really deal with. Hey, it's not my thing, but knock yourself out. I still love my boys, and am proud of each of them every day.
So what if Evan learned his numbers from NASCAR or Zane learned math by playing YuGiOh. Whatever works works, and probably works better if they think they're having fun at the same time.
