R.I.P. uncle jack
ok so since everyone has been asking me ill just fill everyone in...
my uncle jack was an alcoholic for years and years and it destroyed his liver. His liver basically failed and so he got put on the list for a new liver...but its like a 2 year list and he wasnt totally a candidate for it yet or something. He was doing pretty good for a while. not drinking anymore and he was going into work a few hours a week, then finally retired. still not his old self but better.
on wed. we got a call from south carolina that he hadnt peed in 4 days...which as gross as it sounds basically means his kidney's were failing. they said he might have some syndrom and htey were gonna do tests thursday (today) to see if he had some syndrom that if he ended up having they couldnt do anything for it so they were basically just gonna let him die..and dialises - or however u spell it. i dont know wat it is so i cant tell u -
on our way out the door my uncle called my house...so my mom called him back on her cell phone in the car. he said that he took a turn for the worst over night and was now on oxygen and dialises. which basically meant he was very very very bad off.
walking home today i see my mom's car in the drive way. i knew it. i walked in and she was planning our flights to go down there. this morning she said we would leave saturday morning and come home around monday afternoon - in time for my lifeguarding class of course!! (so stupid)
but now i leave tomorrow (friday) morning and come home sunday. the wake is friday night and the funeral saturday. so i dont get to go to the movies saturday night sry mark and imin and the rest.
