Reading through the entries I missed, it seems I'm not the only one having a tough time lately, desu...
Last April 1st, Otou-san collapsed in his office, desu. At first, I thought it was just an April Fool's prank. A very cruel one, desu. But it's not. I got called away from class and was brought to the hospital. Okaa-san and Sayu were already there. It's... painful, seeing them so frightened... According to the doctor, Otou-san suffered a major aortic dissection and massive stroke. A generic flaw, the doctor said. That kind of cardiovascular accident is 100% fatal without a high-risk operation.
Okaa-san sent me to take Sayu home after she fell asleep from crying, desu. I couldn't sleep at all. I keep waiting beside the phone for any news... nothing came, desu. We both skipped school the next day, and went back to the hospital. Otou-san... survived the operation. He was unconscious and on life support with an artifcial lung machine breathing for him, desu. He looked... dead, desu.
The next days I spent trading places with Okaa-san so she could go home and get rest, desu. We sent Sayu to live with Obaa-san for a while. It's near enough so we can be together quickly if... if just in case... the worst comes, desu...
I... have no idea how, but Akutsu-senpai found out what happened and showed up in the hospital, desu. He brought me lunch. It was really nice of him, desu... I feel bad I forgot it was his birthday last April 2nd... but Akutsu-senpai said he doesn't mind at all.

I... I'm sorry if I worried some of you for disappearing without leave, desu. It's been... a stressful time for our family. But I really appreciate all the worried texts and voice mails, desu.
