This Little Piggy

I awakened early today for dinner preparation. I'm slow cooking a 9 pound pork butt. I'll be tied to house all day. I don't claim to be a grill master but I do okay. Most everything I smoke or grill comes out very good, sometimes great, with an occasional mishap because I like to experiment.

I know this entry was about grilled meat, but this line was quite prophetic.

"Over the years you learn tricks, sometimes through trial and error, other times from advice."

Keep it handy. I'm sure it'll useful again in future entries.

By the end of the week I was sick of pork. We had the roast Sunday, pulled pork Monday, I had pork for lunch Wednesday and Cheryl made green chili carnitas for Friday's dinner. It was all good but I will look for a smaller shoulder next time.
