After  a few months in Tempe I can say without question this neighborhood is better suited to us than Gilbert. There's been a lifestyle change. My daily commute went from 35 to 10 miles round trip. I work in Tempe. Many of my favorite places are in Tempe. We're finding new places we like, many within modest bike riding distance.

It obviously wasn't the monkey bell's time to go.

Isn't it cool how circumstances planted you in a place you like so much better? Moving forward and changes wake us up to life again.

Great that James is finding things to do too.

I can relate, all the walking I do now to and from work, rain and shine, I see so much more. While I'm walking, I always think of things I want to look up when I get home, restaurant reviews, why all the Moroccan architecture and design in Oakland or is it art deco, etc...

Happy trails!

That was a good come back considering recent replies to your blog. My monkey bell has a number. It's not up yet.

James' recent activities are encouraging. He's beginning to see opportunity in the community we live in.

The lifestyle here is better and Mikey has a girlfriend next door.

On your 3/19 post Sharpie and I opined 'when our time is up our time is up' and we're not worrying about it. I thought your comment about it 'not being the monkey bell's time to go' was related.

You make me wish Little Rock and the surrounding area (since I live in the surrounding area) was more bike and pedestrian friendly.

Until August, of course.

Our culture is so automotive oriented. I like my vehicle but honestly could live without it if I did not need it.

I like having days in the sun doing something, biking is free, and there are plenty of destinations in town. ... Or we just ride, desperados in the desert.
