The War planet, an unknown time

No one said he couldn't enjoy himself a little while he was at it. The Master had even gone to the trouble of finding some popcorn while he watched the War Games. Occasionally, just occasionally, the stupid apes got something right, and popcorn was something they got very right

The War Lord himself was busy with running this whole operation.

But not too busy to make a snappish comment.

"I see the games amuse you."

"Don't you enjoy them?" the Master asked. "Would it help if I offered some popcorn?"

"You are as bad as the last one," the War Lord said. "The point of these exercises is not amusement."

"...I am better than the last one in ways you can't possibly understand," the Master said. "And there's no reason you can't enjoy your work, is there?"

"I will enjoy my work when it progresses beyond the point where it broke last time," the War Lord said. "I am wary."

"Well last time, you didn't have me," the Master said, setting down his popcorn. "Now. How are our little experiments going?"

"Everything is, admittedly, going smoothly. Though we are experiencing minor disruptions as last time. To a much lesser extent, however."

"Minor disruptions are to be expected. Nothing ever goes perfectly smoothly," the Master said. "Now. The question is, do we want to be... ambitious?"

"Ambitious how?" the War Lord asked.

"What did you think of my little meta-human?"

[milieux_npc2]

"The mental conditioning proved ineffective on her," the War Lord said.

"A shame. Perhaps better conditioning technology is called for."

"That would be a boon," the War Lord said.

"Boons aren't free, my friend."

[milieux_npc2]

"What do you require?" the War Lord asked.

[dadada_da]

"Oh," the Master said, pulling a piece of paper out of his jacket pocket. "I have a list."
