Hard to fit a cat into a scanner, y'know?

Hi there folks... been an interesting day or two here in La-la land... :-)
Yesterday started out with fasting and a lovely little CAT scan. This one involved drinking Raspberry Ice barium solution, getting an "my body is afire... aaahhh!" iodine dye I.V., and eathing "Vanilla-flavoured" barium pudding. Yech... lol. All these various radioactive things leave the digestive tract in ruins for at least 24 hours. So, ostensibly, as of next Monday morning I'll know whether I still have the cancer, and if so whether I'll need surgery to get it taken care of... :-) It'll be nice to have real information so I can make a real plan... any of you guys feel like praying for me, or whatever it is you feel like doing, I'd be honoured.
After CAT scan-land, I felt like I needed a pick-me up, so I headed to Marketplace Mall to the EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports) store and did some prelim. pricing and shopping. It was wonderful! I found a 'pack, a tent, and a 'bag that all fit me perfectly, won't kill my budget, and will be on sale next week... :-D. In the middle of chatting up the folks there one of 'em suggested I had the gab and the knowledge to work there, and handed me an application. I'm so filling it out when I get done here and running it back in. If I get a job all I'll need is transport and a place to live... I can almost taste my freedom again.
Uneventful from there until rehearsal at 7pm, we were to work on Act 1, and instead, mere hours before it was decided we'd be working Act 2... off book. So not ready for that... grrr. So, we muddled through, all was not awful, and then in reaching the end we discovered that the last 9 pages of the finalé still hadn't been blocked. Oy. After rehearsal headed to Spot coffee with the parental unit for a cuppa and some conversation... not too bad.
Today has involved sleeping late, getting fed, making plans to head out hiking later on, etc, etc. I'll likely start my spring sword-fighting training next week... if anyone is interested in learning to use a sword, I'd be more than happy to arrange something with you.

Adiéu, all.
