Iceland is a beautiful place! The air is super clean, fresh, and cold!! It makes me homesick for WI. Its very Scandinavian in its culture. The look, feel , and food remind me a lot of Minnesota and parts of WI, especially Door County. This is also making me homesick. The people are friendly but not overly. Definitely not Ireland. Folks here do not address you on the street as they do in Ireland. They all seem to have an intense focus...as though winter is coming and they don´t have time for the craic before the snow. Food is excellent and very flavorful. They have awesome bakeries too...very O&H like (for those who´ve been to Racine). The down side to the food is it is very expensive. Burger and fries $20 without a drink or tip. But its all tasty so its worth it. The high point of the country is the extreme natural landscape. Its amazing! It would be a fantastic place to spend a spring break!
