California + recent days of awesome...

So yeah, me and David went to California for the Anime Expo 2006, and it was awesome.

So friday morning at about 11am, I show up at ASU to pick David up from class. We use awesome super powers to go straight to Anaheim with only one stop. We ended up leaving ASU at 11:30 or 12 ish, and got to our hotel at 6pm ish. It was awesome. So we put our stuff in the room, and went to the convention center to register before the crowd on saturday. Took like 5 minutes, and then we stood around a while.

I decided that I wanted to make a sign, as I wasn't cosplaying, and I wanted attention too. (why else would you hold a sign at AX?) so I thought, oh man, I really wanna do a buyuuden with someone who knows them well. So I was gonna write a sign seeing if anyone wanted to do them with me... but I wrote it in Japanese (anyone who knows what a buyuuden should at least have the ability to read japanese, right?) so I wrote "オリエンタル・ラジオの有名な武勇伝って知ってますか?" the first part was kinda small on top, and buyuuden was in HUGE BUBBLE LETTERS in the middle, and the last part underneath it...

So basically, the Japanese people who worked at some of the BIG anime booths (like the hot cosplay people hired by ADV to stand in front of the booth) and most the people in the artist's alley, too.

Two other notable occasions my sign became awesome, Hyde was interviewed, live, in the expo area, and I held up my sign. Not only did I make friends with a guy named Tetsuya in the audience, but Hyde, mid-interview, looked at my sign, and nodded, then said he knew about them in japanese... lolololol...

Also, the Indigo was being interviewed, and I was standing there with my sign, and they were giving away a signed copy of their album to someone in the audience, and miki was like "do a buyuuden, and we'll give it to you." so I did a buyuuden on live TV (its an obscure anime channel, "Anime Selects")

Anywho, it was awesome... did quite a bit of karaoke-ing, and quite a bit of awesomeness.

anywho... driving back, there was a bee that flew into the car, and it was like a road-trip movie, cuz we were both like "AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!" and then looked at each other and were like "AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" and then opened the windows, and pulled over on the freeway, and were like trying to get the bee away. and I guess he flew away. It was hilarious.

on the way home, dropped of the chibi gift of awesome.

and then life began once again... Game Crazy is the greatest job EVER... I love it, I really wanna keep it even after coming back from Japan.

Kaori and I hung out at Arrowhead mall for a while one day, it was cool.

and right now, I need to get ready for my english lesson.

later
