(no subject)
Happy New Year.
So...my birthday is in 2 days, and i will be 18. i can vote, buy cigarettes and that OTHER stuff . but all i will probably do is vote. i get to vote in the primary which is kinda cool.
we have the first ski meet this season on tuesday. it should be interesting to see how our team does this year, we have some depth and good skiers. snow has not been great though. i went skiing yesterday and it was even harder and icier than it was last saturday, which was icier than the friday before it. i see a disturbing trend.
so rpi has not sent me a letter yet. they definitely said that i would receive a letter, one way or the other, no later than late december. we're in january now...nothing from them. unh already sent me my presidential scholarship money too, 4K a year, which cuts the cost down a bit, and i'm looking into other scholarships there too with the help of dr appel, my math tutor who retired from unh. i think i'm going to call rpi tomorrow and ask them why i have not received anything yet. kyle said it was because i didnt send in my application fee...but i had a fee waiver because i got the rensselaer medal and sending in money with a fee waiver just so they can send you BACK the money seems kinda dumb to me. plus they sent me a card saying they had everything they needed. hopefully i get something soon.
i only applied to those 2 colleges. i think my dad wanted me to apply to dartmouth and mit...but i dont wanna go to either of those places. even if i got in i would just be like um...no thanks. it would be a waste of time and application money. and besides i think the deadline was today...so ha. i want to go to rpi, and unh is a fine back up.
