exploitation
so i was watching tv tonight and the ten oclock news teaser came on:
"a married couple found in the white mountains after being stranded for days. only one will survive. watch the ten o'clock news for all the details"
that is a disgusting example of the exploitation of a horrible tragedy. in an effort to get a good news story and more people to watch it, they turned their story into a movie/drama sort of teaser and i was disgusted by it. at the time, i was more upset than i am now, but i still think that it was terrible. "only one will survive". how can they put that on the air and not enrage the family?
