we just got back from mexico (same place as last year) a few days ago and we're settling in. i'm thankful we escaped a few snowstorms, but it's nice to be in the cooler weather again. we definitely enjoyed the beach & seeing friends while we were down.
again, i do declare, hammocks are a damn fine place for kiddo naps. it's perfect because you can tie them up on top for safety.

emiliano. nathaniel grew very attached. when they left to go home, he asked about emiliano "emiwiano" every day
there was a carnival/fair one night in the neighboring town that we got to visit
nathaniel didn't stay seated on the carousel very long. he freaked out a little bit and wanted me to hold him rather than sit on the donkey not long after this picture was snapped

it's cool to see nathaniel doing some of the same things he did last year, but so much bigger.
a few words/phrases in spanish nathaniel picked up: frijoles queso cebolla salud ("sawud") no me gusta tlayudas la luna ("la wuna") succio
