i noticed that i hadn't taken any pictures of nathaniel since his stitched-lip incident. i rectified this with a little photo session recently which concentrated on some baby cowboy boots that my sister bought him before he entered the world. i told her he was sporting them a lot of lot, and she wanted proof.

thanks. somehow, i knew you would approve :) the funniest is when i don't realize that he and i are both wearing stripey shirts, until after we've left the house (plus his stripey hat, plus my stripey gloves).

i love stripes, too. i often look down and realize he and i are dressed in an abundance of them.

sleep training is going well. this is the 2nd night now that he's gone to sleep without crying at all. all in all, the whole thing went much better than i feared. i am so proud of him, actually. i may have to get my crunchy attachment parenting card revoked, though, because i actually let my kid cry for a 10 minute stretch.

in other news, nathaniel was sent home from daycare for the first time because he has a fever. poor kid. he's been in mostly okay spirits despite the snotty nose and raspy breathing, but he's definitely had bouts of discomfort. i hope he gets over it soon.
