awww, thanks! i am exited to have gained some independence (or, at least mobility) back. we're figuring this whole thing out, slowly but surely.

Oh he's so sweet! I love, love, love the "resisting the swaddle" picture - his face is so serious and so dedicated to the cause.

thanks :)
yeah, he can have a look of real maturity sometimes. it really makes me wonder about old souls and the like.

He is very cute and makes some awfully intense faces! He looks very much like Dan at this point, I think. You are looking lovely, too.

I know I owe you a phone call -- coming soon. :)

hee, thanks :) he seriously makes me think about old souls because he can look so serious & intense. everyone says he looks like dan, which would make sense. as for me - the baby wearing strategically hides the part of me that is not 100% back to normal ;) but it's pretty surreal to be so close to what i used to be. after being so huge, i half expected to stay that way forever.

no sweat about the phone call - i know you've busy. we'll catch up soon.

He's cute.
We've got to try the bath thing again. Stan's six weeks old as of tonight and only tried the tub once so far and it was awkward and uncomfortable for both of us. I feel bad when I see babies younger than him looking like they're enjoying the tub for not trying more. I do want hubby to help and he's been busy lately.
What sort of sling thing do you have your lil guy in? I'm returning a Infantino SlingRider to BrU and I got an Evenflo front/back Snugli which I used once at our local Tulip Festival. But I want to find something else that I find comfortable and easy to use. I went to a LLL mtg recently where someone from the Slingbabies group had a variety of wraps and slings and gave demos. I liked the BabyHawk but am still contemplating.

he was mellow at bathtime, but he's screamed through it before. dan has helped with most of the baths, for which i'm thankful (i don't want baby to thrash and somehow fall from counter-height). i have 2 pouch slings in different sizes: lucky baby, and karma baby. the karma one is a better size & fit for me. he sometimes cries getting in, but then i nurse him in the sling so he's distracted. then, if he falls asleep, i unlatch him and he's just asleep in the sling. we also have a soft/buckle carrier (beco), but for now it's my 2nd choice because i can't nurse him in it. i;m sure it will become more useful later on. finding the right carrier is hard - good luck!
