i haven't posted some knitting content in a while, but rest assured - i've been knitting.
details:
yarn: chaco (Filatura Lanarota Chaco?), purchased at Rhinebeck Sheep & Wool festival (vendor is little red barn, if memory serves)
needle: size 10 denise
pattern:
presto chango, by valerie wallis
notes: these buttons were free - a woman at the spinning guild had a whole bunch she let us rummage through & take (thanks martha)
i like stripes and bold colors. dan thinks that this stripy outfit looks like i'm preparing to give birth to a clown. hey, clowniness doesn't bother me, but people assuming i have some sports-team affiliation usually gets under my skin (i am so out of tune with sportsy matters that i never really know what colors i've chosen to pair together mean in the sports world).
these pants are wool, so should function as longies if my plan to cloth diaper takes off as i hope it will. the short rows in the butt (hee, babies have bubble-butt!) were a bit of a learning curve, but i finally got it. see how the front is shorter than the back?

needle: size 7 & 10 denise (ribbing done on the 7s). for DPN section (the pant legs), i didn’t have a set of #10 needles, so i had a slightly ghetto modification: two 10.5 brittanys, one ~9 made from a wooden dowel, and one ~7 made from a wooden dowel
pattern:
aubrey doodlepants, by danielle
hat. i am holding off on adding the earstraps until i see how this fits the munchkin. if it's too small, i may rip it out & reknit at a larger size.

yarn:
brooks farm four play, purchased at Rhinebeck Sheep & Wool festival. this yarn was an utter joy to work with. so squishy & soft! i am glad i made a beeline at rhinebeck for this vendor.

notes: i felt like such an inadvertent fangirl of this designer when i realized i knit 2 of her patterns almost in a row (she also designed the pea pod baby sweater from my last knitting post). i was also really picky about the shawl pin and lucked out to find a rather perfect one, if i say so myself. it's a
perl gray design.
