Best damn musical ever made. Period. In fact, WE were the ones who first commanded you to watch it.
I even, erm, sort of ripped my own movie soundtrack off of the DVD, because the 'Original Broadway Cast' recording you can buy on Amazon has neither Donald Madden (Dickinson) nor John Cullum (Rutledge).
Ah, well, I don't recall you recommending it... But maybe that's good because I'm not sure if I would have watched it if I had...lol (just kidding)
*laughs hysterically* Ah, I ripped my own soundtrack too! (well, streamed it, but same thing) Those songs are hilarious... My little sisters are obsessed with singing them...
I love 1776. It filleth my heart with joy, like wine. At last you have become a true man, like John Barleycorn. Now I may look upon your flaccid countenance and regard you with a sort of semi-appreciation, a new burst of reassurance that things aren't quite as bad as they seem, like something you might see displayed by a man who has just discovered that his dog and not his mum has been eating out of the trashcan. I bless you, my child; I put a mark upon your brow. I even leave a substantial portion of my wealth to you: my complete collection of Gregorian chant CDs AND this Tom Baker scarf. Of things more impressive there are naught, and so you should feel incredibly pleased in your knowledge that I now think of you with a tiny little speck of warmth.

Actually, there is an 11th commandment. I'm surprised you don't know about it.

Oh really? Let's hear it...
