Intro post

Hi! I just thought it would be nice to have a general 'noticeboard' post at the top of my journal, but right now I can't think of anything particularly interesting to say. Isn't that always the way?

If you're looking for my fic/vids, the links are at the side of the page and/or in my memories. I've written a lot of fic in various fandoms, but the ( Read more... )

I'm in the process of acquiring Season 1 of Boston Legal. Have you ever watched that? And how about Due South?

No! Although I did watch LA Law and The Practice and Ally McBeal shutup so if it's in his usual style it's probably the kind of thing I'd enjoy. I just don't need a new obsession right now, LOL. Haven't ever seen Due South either, but it does seem to have the disturbing ability to turn relatively normal people into stark raving fangirls XD

and Ally McBeal shutup

Ooh, I *loved* Ally McBeal :) I've sometimes thought about trying to get hold of it.

I've read so many apparently sane people obsessing over Due South that I feel sure I'm missing out there. Hmmm....

Tell me about this hiatus of yours from House. I recently started watching it again after about a year off. Stopping was a big deal for me, because I'm really a one-show kind of girl, but the Tritter bullshit was just too much for me (well, more specifically, Wilson finding House after his OD and just leaving him there to choke on his own vomit was what was really too much for me). It's kind of nice to be back.

I didn't mean I was on hiatus; I meant the show was. Hmmm, perhaps I do need to make that clearer :)

I loved the Tritter arc, but that's me (I saw Wilson's actions as more of a tough love thing than anything else). This season I haven't been as keen on, with all the cast changes and stuff, but the last two eps and the whole Amber storyline were brilliant, so I'll be back next season! It's lovely to see you back, too - I thought that you'd just been overtaken by RL events rather than opting out of watching House.

How do you do it? Watch so many shows?
I can barely keep up with House, Dexter and Californcation.
I look forward to the summer when I can take a break.

Shows I wish I could remember to watch are 30 Rock, Boston Legal and Touchwood.

Gone, but not forgotten, agrees with Blackadder, Firfly, Red Dwarf, SFU, ST and XF. Also misses MASH.

LOL, they're not all on at the same time - the reality shows are usually on two by two, and Australian hiatus is at a completely different time of year to the US. The UK shows/US cable shows are much shorter runs than the US commercial ones.

Also, I literally don't watch any other regular incidental TV - news, game shows, etc. I estimate I watch 3-9 hours a week total, which is probably less than a lot of people :)

ETA: Not to mention nowadays you can 'schedule' shows to watch when it's convenient, if you know what I mean ;)

OH- so it works out that when one ends one begins.
That is cool!

I don't watch any of that stuff either. I'd rather not be informed by what the RL world is doing to muck it all up.

If anything I watch the History & Discovery channel the most.

My Tivo helps me catch up. I just season pass Monty Python's Flying Circus. Haven't seen that since I was a kid, can't wait.

I just don't have time to dl TV shows or watch them online.

Hee, I've got one episode just waiting for me to watch it, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm guessing there'll be time over the 'silly season' though. Hope you enjoy it! ;)

Too bad they are not showing Chaser's War anymore.
Guess that stunt they pulled during APEC was a bit out of the line. (Personally i found that stunt hilarious)

Are you going to be watching the Choose Your Own Adventure thing? I know the guy's not actually a Chaser, but he's kind of affiliated, and it sounds fun :)

Edit: LOL, not Chase, CHASER. Bloody icons XD
