Hmmm. I tend to forget that 'reading' is not the same thing as 'communicating'. Hi! Things are piling up, and I do pretty much use this journal as my record of events, so here goes.

I know, right? What a team. :D

Yes, we do actually have quite a bit - small shows, black-box, mostly, but a good amount. I was actually the box office manager at the performing arts center in Pennsylvania, lots of accounting [as to how I found it - nothing special. I needed a job in college and answered an ad for a ticket sales agent and climbed up the ranks], but the nature of theatre is such that everyone lives in each others' pockets so you're kind of all over the place all the time. My boyfriend was the lighting director, everyone hung out in the off hours, and of course I took advantage of being able to see a lot of stuff. But the nervous-making part came from having to run backstage with audits all the time where you got to see EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING WRONG and it wasn't good for my psyche, I guess! It made me very, very tense ever after.

Vegas shows are something else! The stagecraft alone is sooo incredible. But then they're like purpose-built for those specific shows, so not a surprise, but dazzling nonetheless. :D
