London Spy/I Saw the Light

See, I realise Danny is the star of London Spy, but my heart belongs to Alex - I have a personal weakness for the type, and the "soul mates" conversation was some of the most perfect writing I've ever seen. I'm not sure whether I've posted this before, but if you need a pick-me-up after all that angst, I feel quite certain that Alex would approve of this song.

"I'm just saying - I don't think you're special... I-I mean, you're special, but you fall within a bell curve." It might sound like satire, but it's so true to that intensely logical outlook that it hurts me *g*

By the way, if anyone feels like explaining the plot to me, go right ahead. If Danny is so dangerous, and the conspiracy goes so deep, why don't they just kill him? No doubt all will be explained next week. Ahahahahaha.

Also, what did you think of the I Saw the Light trailer (Tom Hiddleston)? I would have said no force on earth would make me go see a biopic about a Country & Western singer (unless it were Dolly Parton, maybe), but it weirdly seems to suit him. I don't know how a posh English actor got cast in the role to begin worth, but it... seems to work? It probably helps that I can't tell whether his accent is any good - sounds perfectly fine to me. And I've never thought he could really sing that well either (sorry), but even that sounds pretty good. I'm almost tempted *g*
