Les Miserables anniversary - Philip Quast, Simon Burke, Anthony Warlow. Stephen Fry, Joss Whedon

Well, that's an unlikely collection of names. This is really just a PSA for those who might be interested in any/all of the above and not seen the following:

The Sydney Opera House website has highlights from Joss Whedon's recent talk at the aforementioned venue plus a five-part interview with Stephen Fry (both linked from front page under 'Videos'). I've not watched either, but some of you might enjoy them. The vids should be accessible from outside Australia, I hope.

Also, apparently Les Miserables is turning 25 (!), and last week there was a gorgeous retrospective in the Sun-Herald of the "Les Mis generation" of Australian theatre stars, including my beloved Philip Quast (Javert), Anthony Warlow (Enjolras) and Simon Burke (Marius). The magazine section isn't usually available online, so I thought I'd scan it for anyone interested. It made me all nostalgic - I saw the production during its first run with all the actors featured (as well as many times thereafter), and it was just an incredible experience. Anthony Warlow's recollections made me laugh - I still remember that night. Oh, fandom *g*

This is Normie Rowe - our original Jean Valjean. Also, FYI, the magazine is larger than A4, hence I had to scan each page in two sections.

I'm afraid I got fed up with scanning and hence have not included Marina Prior (Cosette), Debbie Byrne (Fantine), Jodie Gillies (Eponine - still my personal favourite Eponine of all time), Brian Rooney (Gavroche), or Robin Arthur (Mme Thernardier), but if anyone really cares, I can :)
