RL been busy, FFXI been busy, WoW been busy, haven't had time to update at all.
I'll get around to eventually I hope.
Got my Optical Hat, finally.
As well, LS gave me a Tutelary, will be part of my Spirits Within and my PLD/NIN kiting set. Thanks guys. :)
Fought my first Behemoth a few days ago, was fun. :X
As well, we got Fafnir on Friday -> Aspi right afterwards, leading to Khasim -> Dalmatica and Lavvi -> Egg, meaning another awesome MNK with Black Belt now. ;)
By the way, Aspi fight was incredibly fun, but a big F U to the people who decided that they had to stand right near tanks. I had R5000+ at times, it was NOT fun at all. Common courtesy, {Do you have it?}. People could have honestly stood on the other side of Sorrow Valley where people normally stand in between intervals and had one or two people from their respective linkshells standing to watch and see what happened... It's an Aspi fight people, it's not the Rapture...
On another note, I had completely forgotten about Aspi's headbutt move, and when he did it to me for the first time, I freaked out because I didn't expect it at all. Being thrown away 50 feet away from the mob is always amusing, I suppose. However, as I started to run back, I got drawn in instantly, right into the center of him. GG S/E, good programming! /sarcasm off
LS got Nidhogg on Saturday, leading to our first Koenig Body, grats Terny! Wish I could have been there, but I'm incredibly glad he got it, totally deserves it and it's a huge boost to our LS morale. Hope to get the rest of our Paladins (including myself, I'm not that unselfish :p) one very soon, and with the way things are going, looks like it might be sooner than later.
Today we also set a bit of a record for us, dunno about other LS's, but as selfish as it sounds, we got all 3 HNM's today. Very well coordinated effort in my opinion. Had an alliance at Fafnir, 5 people at Behemoth. Fafnir popped, alliance claimed. Behemoth popped, my group of 5 claimed. Killed both, had good drops (grats Lavvi on Hrotti and Icrushyu on Neptunal Head!). Afterwards, LS headed to Valley of Sorrows and claimed Adamantoise too. Not too shabby, Behemoth's Bane -> Fafnir Slayer -> Tortoise Torturer in one day for us.
Wish I had screenshots of this Behemoth fight's log. I thought I had loaded Fraps, but apparently it didn't load up. >_>
Behemoth is an insane pansy. I shield blocked most of his attacks, and one attack in particular read:
The Behemoth hits Daamian for 7 points of damage.
Dear lord, exp mobs hit me harder than that. Not to mention, Shield Bash stunned him (my Shield Bash also happened to stun Fafnir the day before too, weird) and I intimidated Behemoth numerous times due to Tatami Shield.
Honestly, Behemoth and Aspi are two of the biggest disappointments in terms of difficulty. I don't get why S/E can't boost their power and their drops (not to mention the drops of CoP Wyrms, but that's another issue), because Fafnir/Nidhogg being that souped up in terms of drops and DIFFICULTY (not that they're THAT difficult, but in comparison to the other 2 land HNM's?)..... it's just kinda stupid. I know it's old news, everyone's mentioned before, but it just irks me.
Anyways, that was more long-winded than I had wanted, not to mention I've probably rambled on unnecessarily, and bitched and complained. Oh well. :P
P.S. That screenshot of Fafnir fight looks particularly soft around the edges and stuff, I really like it. If only FFXI looked that smooth when in motion too. :\
