J'adore ma mère

May 01, 2006 10:52

Today has been semi productive- as I have slept in, already sent off peer edits-hopefully I'll get to some editing of my own and finish by tomorrow...then start on Art and Society...and then study. Great. Whatever the case, it's all manageable.

My mother has given me yet even more pans. I'm telling you I have the most pans that a college student will ever have-especially starting out. She has given me pans for breads, cakes-two regular rounded ones so I can make a layer cake and 3 spring form, a bunt of little sunflowers, pie pans, cookie sheets, Angel Food cake pan, one of those flouted tip pans-like for pound cakes, a square cake pan...This is not including the Ikea start box, measuring cups, TONS of other supplies, and today she also gave me a Disney cutting board...I told her that this completes the kitchen as this family has been obsessed with Disney, and has grown up with Disney. She has given me so much recently. These things are definetely things that will give me a jump start in the kitchen-something I've always wanted to do, but it is her way of showing support and enthousiasm for everything. I really appreciate that. I really appreciate her. This entry is coincidently coming right before Mother's Day-and this is not a new found revelation by any means-but I guess I wanted to share how much my mother has truely made a difference in my life. Sentiments like this are rarely spoken in my house, but I really mean it.
