404

Today I am gonna tell you about my dirty little secret.

It all started with the Physics 20 course I took at Chinook College. I had applied to SAIT before going to chinook, and SAIT had offered me a conditional seat. So long as I payed my deposit and submitted proof that I was taking a Physics 20 course, they would reserve a seat for me in the CID program untill I submitted my final mark. Well, I finished my physics course with a 73% (mostly done in one month). I could now go to SAIT and work towards my career. I was under the impression that Chinook would be sending my mark directly to SAIT because I recall someone at chinook asking me if I was going to SAIT after this course. After a bit of waiting, I eventually got some mail from SAIT. It offered information about the orientations times and contained a newspaper I never read. In the letter, it stated that my ID number was to be 404440. At first I laughed because it contained 404, one of the most annoying errors you can get while surfing the net. Then I realized that 4 in Chinese is "shi" which sounds similar to their word for Death, making that number highly unlucky. Just to make sure everything was ok, I called SAIT and asked about my application. By this time I had payed my tuition and from what customer service said, everything was o.k.

Turns out Chinook doesn't issue transcripts and I was cancelled from the course.

I was first alerted of this when one day during my computer class, I went to log into the database that held my computer assignment files only to find that I couldn't. I went to the Computer help desk and they referred me to customer service. I went there and they told me that I had been cancelled because I never submitted my physics 20 mark. Upon hearing this, a whole lot was going through my head. I wasn't sure if I would be able to continue going to classes, if I would have to repeat this semester, I had no idea exactly how screwed I was. This was around the time that I left the Dalahouse due to football-head's return. Once I settled in again, I sent off my request for my transcripts, hoping that I could still fix things.

Well, today I finally fixed things up. I talked to customer service, and submitted my Physics mark. Everything is ok now, but man... this was one big spree of irresponsibility on my part. Its definately not something I wanna have to go through again. Now all I gotta do is make sure I study for my midterms.
