bundle of privilege

Rover and I have had the house to ourselves while my sweetie's at a work dinner. I've got a pile of minor, minor complaints this evening, which prove I must be pretty damn lucky overall.

I got home this evening to discover my (generally quite stable) mac rebooted itself, reasons unknown. And now it's running warmer than usual at idle. That's sort of weird.

I can't continue my train of thought from work because I don't have VBA installed on my virtual windows box at home. NeoOffice (Mac Open Office) promises to support VBA macros with their next version, which won't be out for a month, so I can't try that. On the bright side, this is the first time I've had a train of thought really worth pursuing, which means maybe I'm getting the hang of the language maybe.

I'm not smart enough to figure out how to find a copy of some tracks from CBC (Lister Sinclair Presents the Masterpieces of Disco to be exact). I found a torrent, but there are no peers to be had. Boo.

I was unsuccessful at getting ahold of someone via email/chat.

Firefox (1.5 because I don't like what they've done with 2.0) has suddenly begun tweaking my tab icons- they get a little shield/exclamation-point added, for no reason I can tell. Anybody know what this means?:

Hm. What a lame collection of complaints.
