I've been reading Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum of late. It's been described as the "thinking man's The DaVinci Code", and I have to say it's one of the most intelligent novels I've ever read, although that could be because it's full of esoteric references to hermetic lore and a a bunch of jargon.
