Lots going on.

I've begun rewriting my short story "On the Road to Tallahassee" for my fiction class. Given the scope and nature of this project, though, it's not as much a rewriting as it is a reconstructing involving specialized software. I'm rebuilding it into something nigh-uncriticizeable to some specific persons in one of my classes.

I'm working on the editorial staff for the new Clemson literary magazine, Not a Paper Plane. We've had some good fiction - as you might imagine, I don't read for poetry. Look for the first issue up online sometime around March. Also, let me know if you're interested in submitting anything.

Speaking of things going up online, Asimov's sent me the galley proofs for "Blank, White & Blue", so that should be up on the Asimov website pretty much any day now. I'll be sure to let everyone know when it does go up. For my own narcissism, of course.

Other than that, things are going well, if busily. Classes are relatively straightforward and so far they're going pretty well. I've decided what to do for my thesis (a last-man-on-Earth novel set in the 1670s called Goodman), have a director and at least one reader, and have started my research. Given that I have about sixteen months, I'm on a good track so far.

More as it comes.
