Ok Maybe Horror Movies Don't Turn Me On......
So Saturday the guys and I went to a 13 hour Horror and Scifi marathon. It wasn't at the Music Box this time which kinda sucked. It played at this theater that I've been to two times before and both times, the theater smelled of pee. This time was no different. So instead of going through all the movies, play by play, I'll just give the run down. First thing we saw was a documentary on William Castle. I knew a little about him but all the stuff he did really blew my mind. He made going to the movies an experience. He was the king of gimmicks and made horror movies fun to watch. After the doc we watched The Tingler, which was one of his films and the feel of it was a lot of fun. Too bad they don't make 'em like they use to back in those days. But then again, we are all kinda jaded today so I don't think the things he tried to pull off would go over well. Moving on, we saw a bunch of other stuff. A lot of movies I saw for the first time so that was pretty cool. One of which being, Deadly Spawn. Now that movie was a lot of fun. One of the best endings I've seen in a movie. Good Times. The director was there so I got to meet him and that was pretty cool. Later on we watched Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. I haven't seen it in the longest time plus it's such a classic film, I was happy to see it on the big screen. So while watching the movie, there was a couple in front of us and um..er....the starting making out after some sick shit went down. From the point of the movie where it starting getting brutal up until the end, this couple was making out the whole. Rich and I were super disturbed. Haha, I mean, of all movies to make out to...yeah, even I'm not that hardcore to find that movie hot enough to want to do someone while watching it. *Shudder* So the movies went out, we had fun, and at midnight it was officially Rich's birthday. I kinda wanted to like do something special for him but he wanted to wait till this coming weekend for their party.
So the party is this weekend and damn I'm excited. Probably more excited than they are but hey, I could give a fuck about my birthday so I have to get it out of my system through other people. So the first thing, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but my first idea was to get them shirts made. So a few months ago, a picture from Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make a Porno was released-
Well when the guys saw this, they went ape shit. They hope that jersey would be for sale. Well, at the time it wasn't so I thought up the idea to just get a shirt made with that logo on it. Well then the jersey was recently released and they had one for viewing not for sale at Flashback. It was kinda ugly. It was like tan and stuff and it was well, a jersey. My guys wearing a jersey...yeah... I just don't see it. Well, as far as I know, especially since they like to brag about shit they buy, they didn't get it. So I officially got the shirts made. So I started out by ordering one for Rich. I wanted to see how it came out before I ordered the others and I wanted to have it just in case he wanted his present early. Well, his shirt came out pretty good. The only thing, the logo is kinda like an iron-on so I'm not sure how good it would hold up after a few washes. Well, I thought it would be ok so I ordered Lyndell's and Jerry's. Egh. The logo on their shirts looks kinda faded already. . Here's what it kinda looks like, only Jerry and Lyndell's white part looks really grey. Grrrrr!!!!
I'm not too happy about it. I'm sure they'll love it or at least pretend to my face but I kinda wanted it to be perfect so I'm really on the fence about that. I guess we'll see on Saturday
So with that I need to over compensate. And also, they are for now, the men of my life so I kinda gotta go all out. Friday I went shopping for porn! So I kinda got an unofficial theme going on but I think it's kinda great. So guys like porn, and I'm cool with that. Hell, as long as it's not off the wall, crazy shit that freaks me out, I like porn too. So as long as I've know the guys, I find it kinda funny that they act a bit weird around me when it comes to buying porn. At Flashback, when walking around, they kinda try to be super subtle when they tried to shop for porn. Lyndell, specifically, tenses up a bit and kinda mumbers to the dvd dealer when he's about to buy something. The first time we went to Flashback we've only know each other for a few months and yet back then I cared even less about them buying porn but they were really kinda embarrassed to buy it around me. And also, fuck! Me, Rich and Jerry saw a porn at the Music Box last year. And it was the kind that freaked me out. Well, I thought at this point of knowing each other, they'd be a little more relaxed about it but no, they are still shy(?) So anyway, I thought buying porn would be 1. something I know they would like 2. make up for the shirt if they didn't really like it 3. A great theme to go with the Zack and Miri makes a "PORNO" shirt and tickets to see Showgirls 4. A way of saying.... "Just so you know... I'm cool with you guys liking porn, buying porn, watching porn...porn porn porn...." And most importantly 5. Nothing says I love you like porn!
So its kinda sad to admit this, but I kinda already have a feel for their preferences. I won't get into that here, hehe, but I knew what I was shopping for. I'm so happy that I went into the one store I knew about, went through their stash for about 20 minutes and found what I needed for them. Hell, I even got a discount on the movies. I picked up some gift bags, tissue paper and I got everything all together. So other than the shirt logo I'm pretty ok with the presents. I think I'm going to throw in a box of Dots in there for them. It's the only candy I know they love. The only thing I have left to take care of is their cake. Last year I got them each a mini cake from the store and I was looking around the other day and they didn't have them. I'm going to go in on Thursday and see if they maybe have them and I was just there on a wrong day or see if maybe I can order them to be ready for Saturday. I'm also thinking about maybe just making them a little cake or baking some brownies or something like that. The only thing is I'm a pretty shitty baker. I can follow the box instructions ok but my stuff never looks like the box. I'm sure it will taste good, I mean, how can I fuck up chocolate but I don't want to give them a shitty looking cake or something. And also, I'm sure their families are getting them cake and stuff so I was also thinking maybe making or buying cupcakes. I don't know. Suggestions anyone?
So yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I even maybe have another trick up my sleeve but I won't mentioned it till I know for sure. I'm hoping I can pull it off but if not I think everything will still be great. Also, I'm already planning to wear that cutesy dress thingy I wore to the house warming party where my junk was jumping out. Ya'll, I swear I put that thing on and looked in the mirror and my junk does not jump out. I don't know what happened that night. Rich is always mentioning that I should wear that again so I guess that is another way to make up for them not liking their presents if they don't. But this time I'm wearing a better bra and goddamn, I'm going to be pissed if my junk jumps out again!
