yeah so last night was pretty much the best night of my life. me and brian drove to my house at 1:30. then i cleaned elyssa message off my car. and the we did homework. brian finished way before me so he was just sitting around being bored while i did mine. then i finished mine and we were bored together. my dad got home and we left for cox arena. took us and hour and a half cuz of traffic.
the kaiser chiefs were playing when we got there. they were ok we went down to the floor and were relativly close. people mostly just stood around and did nothing.
20 minutes after that, weezer goes on stage and opens with my name is jonas. awesome. as soon as they started playing we got really close up. we were on the left part of the stage about 3 people away from the fence. k im gonna try to remember the songs they played... my name is jonas, perfect situation, in the garage, this is such a pity, why bother, peace, buddy holly, beverly hills, el scortcho, surf wax america, photograph, island in the sun, we are all on drugs, the sweater song, big me (foo fighters cover), and hashpipe. thats all of them i think. some highlights... scott the bass player sang in the garage. and brian the other guitarist sang why bother, and pat the drummer sang photograph while rivers played drums. then everyone played drums while pat rocked out. then rivers ran around to the front of the middle section of the seating area and played an accousic version of island in the sun. there were 3 girls right in front of them and i hated them. el scorcho was my favorite. then after that they had a guy from the crowd come up and play the sweater song. but he was from denver so everyone was booing him. that was pretty funny.
foo fighters kicked butt too. they opened with in your honor. i thought they would cuz that song is explosive. dave told some funny stories. ask me about them. when the played stacked actors, dave ran around into the stands. right in front of the same three girls. i hated them even more. so then he ran around for a while then got back on stage and finished the song. they played a cover of born on a bueyoo(spelling?) by credence clearwater revival. they did an encore of cold day in the sun, except the drummer sang and played guitar while dave played drums. they closed with monkey wrench.
at this time its about 11:30. we're deaf and tired. so we go to by our shirts. my brother wanted me to get a weezer shirt that we looked at online. so i get mine and i get his. this morning, he wants to see it. so i go get it... and its a girls shirt. whoops. so hes all pissed but he wears it around the house for a while. that was hilarious. if you want to see some pics from the concert, ask me cuz i got about 20 something on my phone. and elyssas and sabrinas best friends were in front of us for a while. that was... strange. and believe it or not, but my ears are still ringing. gah.
