30 day music meme...in one day?!
Oh hey look. It's a somewhat personal and random post from me. Yay. So, a while ago(read: years ago) I attempted to undertake the 30 day music meme. Sadly, I only lasted a week. This time around I figured, "what the heck, might as well do it all at once", so here I am. Doing it all. At once. I'm making this JE-centricso the majority of my choices will be JE songs, but I've also become a Super Junior fan, so a few of those may pop up as well. I've included a cut to save your friends pages from being angry at the super loooong post.
+Day01 Your Fave Song - Like the previous time, I still have to go with Gimmick Game. Ofc, since then Nino's other solos have become favorites, but this was my first favorite and it'll take quite a bit to knock it off that spot.
+Day02 Your Least Fave Song - Oh dear, there're actually quite a bit of these. One that makes me mad(even though I actually like it) is Aiba's solo from Popcorn. The beginning has this slow start to it and every time I think it's a different song but then the tempo changes. Getting fooled every time somewhat irritates me XD
+Day03 A song that makes you happy - A song that makes me happy? Uhh, there are a lot of those as well, I guess an obvious choice would be Happiness. That intro just makes you want to start jumping around.
+Day04 A song that makes you sad - Nino's Kako and Sore wa Yappari Kimi Deshita always make me feel a bit sad even though they are beautiful songs.
+Day05 A song that reminds you of someone - Hmm, I can't say any songs I listen to actually remind me of anyone I actually know. I always associate songs with whoever sings it so I think that gets in the way of connecting the song to a different person.
+Day06 A song that reminds of you of somewhere - 5x10 somehow always reminds me of the beach. And not because of Aiba and Sho's trip to Chiba, it was long before that. Whenever I hear this song, it makes me think about myself and my own past and when thoughts like that come up, I always get the feeling of wanting to go to the beach and just walk along the wet sand and listen to the waves.
+Day07 A song that reminds you of a certain event - You know, I'm not that good at recalling events, not sure why, but I'm just not that good at it. Stuff that happened in my childhood? Quite fuzzy. High school graduation? Also fuzzy. Trying to associate a song with a past event just isn't going to work. A lot of events that I associate with songs end up influenced by concert dvds XD
+Day08 A song that you know all the words to - 'morning light'. When I first heard the song, I instantly fell in love with it. Ofc I would know all the words, I practically memorized them the first time.
+Day09 A song that you can dance to - Ah, the first SuJu choice. I've watched the Sorry, Sorry mv way too much and well, the 'sorry, sorry' bit isn't all that hard to dance to XD
+Day10 A song that makes you fall asleep - 'full of love'. Loved the song and a while ago I would have trouble falling asleep so I would listen to it until it would start waking me up from a doze. If I'm not dead-tired I can't fall asleep when there's music or a tv on, I end up listening to it and it keeps me awake. So now sometimes when I hear this song I kinda get a sleepy feeling. Hopefully next I don't start drooling when I hear a bell.
+Day11 A song from your favorite band - Hah, too many to list since I decided to make this JE-centric. But Arashi does hold the top spot as you can probably tell by my choices until now.
+Day12 A song from a band you hate - None, as I don't believe in hate(and have seriously debated whether I'm even capable of feeling it).
+Day13 A song that is a guilty pleasure - You know what...it's 6am, I'm going to sleep and finishing the rest of this later... So it's now later(about 3 days later but who's counting?) aaaand the song's that's a guilty pleasure for me, would be...uhh...no clue. At first listening to kpop was a guilty pleasure since I told myself I wouldn't get into it, but that obviously didn't last.
+Day14 A song that no one would expect you to love - Hmm, I think people are always surprised that I listen to Jpop, so I guess I can't really narrow it down to one song.
+Day 15 A song that describes you - Oh geez, I think I'll go with Taguchi's Flash. Yeah, I'm one of those 一目ぼれ ppl XD
+Day 16 A song that you used to love but now hate - This is something that isn't possible. I'll get tired of a song and not listen to it for a while, but I can't truly hate it.
+Day17 A song that you hear often on the radio - Pffft, I don't listen to the radio.
+Day18 A song that you wish you heard on the radio - Any Arashi song. That would be awesome. Here's to hoping that one day they'll truly go international.
+Day19 A song from your favorite album - I'd have to go with Niji from Arashi's Time album. That was the album that got me hooked into Jpop and will always have a special standing.
+Day20 A song that you listen to when you’re angry - I don't really get angry. I have fleeting moments of extreme irritation but along with hate, I can't say I've ever felt true anger. Sounds impossible right? But I suppose that when I'm feeling less that happy/content I always fall back to listening to my fave Arashi songs. My playlist is waaay too long.
+Day21 A song that you listen to when you’re happy - The same as above. I listen to my Arashi playlist when I'm happy because I'm happy and I'll listen to it when I'm not to cheer myself up.
+Day22 A song that you listen to when you’re sad - Hmm, guess this will be a 3-way tie between Kako, Niji and SoreKimi(heh, lame abbr for Sore wa Yappari Kimi deshita, but seriously, it's too long).
+Day23 A song that you want to play at your wedding - It's probably a bit cliche at this point, but Arashi's One Love would be good. There are parts of the song that match what's happened in my life.
+Day24 A song that you want to play at your funeral - I think I may have said this before, but I want Happiness to be played at my funeral. I'm not one to truck with the whole funerals must be sad, somber affairs(thank you pinoy upbringing). If someone went so far as to bring a karaoke machine full of Arashi songs that would be totally awesome, yet sad since I'd be dead and wouldn't be able to sing XD
+Day25 A song that makes you laugh - This song isn't actually on my music player and not one I listen to very often, but Oppa Gangnam Style never fails to amuse me(and make me raeg just a little bit due to the getting-stuck-in-your-head factor). Must be because my alma matter's band insists on playing it during football games and it amuses me that they'll play a Korean song that they probably have no idea what the lyrics say.
+Day26 A song that you can play on an instrument - Err, I haven't played an instrument in years. I was able to play the beginning part of Niji on the piano, but that's about all.
+Day27 A song that you wish you could play - There are a lot of songs I wish I could play, the problem would be learning how to play the instrument.
+Day28 A song that makes you feel guilty - Guilt is for losers. I think I'm one of those overly optimistic people that I greatly dislike. Irony, I know you too well.
+Day29 A song from your childhood - Err, N'sync songs? I blame them for my infatuation of boy bands.
+Day30 Your favorite song at this time last year - Last year? How the heck am I suppose to remember that when I can't even remember what I ate for dinner a week ago? Hmm, apparently I didn't post anything at all last Aug-Sept, so going from July I was apparently listening to News' Chankapaana single, which means my favorite at the time was Full Swing(yes, I still have the urge to bawl whenever I watch the documentary scene where the audience was singing it).
