Counting Down
Counting Down until the new episode of TVD comes on, best place to get inspiration is from the source that drives it =].
After the last episode (3x19), with Elena finally exposing how much she actually is attracted to Damon with that incredible, fire works, passion filled, earth shattering, held it in for 3 seasons, kiss. It left me completely speechless, but at the same time filled with questions.
Where does this leave Damon and Elena now? Obviously she cant just go running back to Stefan, not because I am a Delena fan and don't want her to, but because she has conflicting feelings for his brother. And in any relationship, that would be considered dishonesty not just to yourself but the others that are involved, it would do more damage then good if she tries to not only protect her heart but protect the hearts of the brothers that are involved. And I don't think Stefan is going to ignore the fact that the imaginary line that used to exist between Damon and Elena has blurred and vanished into thin air, and regardless how much Elena tries to deny the fact that its no longer there, and her caring has turned into love as the episodes progressed, it's there.
I feel bad for both characters honestly. I know deep down that Damon cherishes his relationship with his brother, and regardless if they have a war going on between them, he's willing to give up the one thing he loves...Elena...believing that's what she wants and deserves to be with someone like Stefan. While Elena, feels guilty for having these feelings for Damon, especially when Stefan gave himself over to Klaus to save Damon and yada, yada. She's so worried about becoming like Katherine, and on top of that what everyone will say (of course she already knows what everyone would say).
I wonder, will these two ever really get together? Let's be honest it is a show, one, that needs to keep their viewers tuning in. What happens when Elena finally chooses? what if the choice isn't Damon? If there's no love triangle...then what?
