There is kind of crappy wood around the edges, but there is some real top quality stuff near the center.

Of course, going for the good wood brings you closer to your rival wood scavengers.

[Shiro and Li are currently gathering woods.

Li's natural agility is coming into hand here as she leaps and darts through the wood pile.

Ah HA! There ya are! This one'll work great!

[But oh shit, coming up behind Li is a large figure in black robes, hammer held high! The hammer comes around like a thunderbolt towards the side of her head!]

[I'm sorry. DENIIIIIIED. Someone else is abandoning his gathering to get at this guy.]

One second, she sees the incoming hammer --

And the next, her head is about two feet below it, her foot shooting out and up in a lightning fast kick.

[Wow this guy has good reflexes! In the blink of an eye his hammer is redirected right at Shiro. With an echoing boom, both Shiro and Isshin manage to strike each other, and both are catapulted dozens of feet away!]

[And he's just going, to skid on the ground, and slamming onto a wood pile.]

Not bad.

For an overcompensating man.

Li claims to be a fair fighter, but there's still an opportunist in her yet. She snags the good piece of wood she saw and begins scarpering down the pile, picking up slightly less good pieces as she goes. Gogogogogo

[As it turns out, the hammers cause almost no pain or injuries. Isshin is back on his feet in moments running towards Li, waving his hammer like a madman.]

Get back here you bastards!

Oh no you don't!

[RUN RUN RUN, JUMP AND THEN HAMMER SWIIIIIING.]

Run run run HAND SPRING WHILE JUGGLING THE WOOD BETWEEN HER FEET, run run! It's awesome, in that Wuxia sorta way!

Isshin looks after Li, who is escaping, but can't take the time to stop her as he brings his hammer up to catch Shiro's strike by the handle. The enchanted hammer head doesn't hit Isshin, and thus he merely grunts slightly from the impact.

[And with that Shiro is going to use one of his foot to launch a kick at Isshin!]

[dadreaper]

Isshin took the kick and staggered back a step, but took this opportunity to deflect Shiro's hammer to the side so he could get a quick, if weaker strike at Shiro's ribs.

[pilotofsilence]

[Oh. Isshin?

Have a knuckle sandwich.

To the abdomen, at the same time the strike hit his ribs.]

[Isshin coughed as Shiro managed to hit right in the pit of his stomach, but his hammer still managed to connect.]
