Boy, what a FANTASTIC COINCIDENCE that the first person to see -- okay, actually HEAR Pogo -- would be a familiar face.

She moves closer, squinting. She'd recognize that pungent little mass of green hair and clubbing power anywhere.

Holy shit. HOLY SHIT. Pogo? Is that you, ya little power-clubber?

[Pogo's ears perk up and he spins around to face Li, looking- well, okay, not surprised, but he certainly looks damn happy.]

LOOOOOOOOOVE!! [And Pogo scampers towards Li, waving his arms and spouting his usual proto-language gibberish at her as he approaches.]

Wh-whoa! Easy there, little guy! It's good to see ya too. How about that, huh? I never thought I'd see you again after that crazy dead place! How ya been?

[Pogo thumps his chest before pumping a fist into the air.] Aiiiiiii~!

[The caveman suddenly looks all around, even peering behind Li, before tilting his head at her.] Uhoho? Grah, uuuu- [He pitches his voice higher, trying to imitate a certain pint-sized robot's signature whistle.] Kyurururu!

Eh? Nah, just us I'm afraid, bud. I'm sure that little robot guy's fine, though.

[No Cube, Oboro, or Sundown or Akira or Masaru? Pogo nods, looking a little disappointed- before something ELSE occurs to him.]

[He sobers up and looks Li in the eye, gesturing at the equally strange world around them.] ... O-D-O?

No O-D-O either, little buddy. Just you, mean, and the whole of Dozaro versus Dogoda in some hella strange competitions.

Though speakin' of Dogoda, you oughta meet Ayla. You two might have somethin' in common, or somethin'.

[Okay, Odio ain't around, and the rest of her explanation kind of flew over his head, but- hey, at least the team names roll off the tongue for the little caveman.] Do-za-ro! Do-go-da! Ai... la? Uho! [Pogo hops around Li, doing a happy dance.]

[And then he jumps into the abused car via the hole in its roof, PUNCHES OUT the bottom of the car so that he can stick his feet on the pavement, and waves Li over.] AIIIIIIII~!!

[Pogo shrugs easily and kicks yet another exit out of the car- it's the driver's door this time- and trundles back over.]

Aii! [AND MY AXE Yeah, looks like he's going with. He's got that huge dopey grin on his face, just like that first time they met.]

You never struck me as th' driving type anyway. Hey, lemme show you my place. Don't knock th' octopus around, though, temptin' as it is. He's technically on th' other side, but we ain't competin' with them like that.

[Aww, but Pogo wanted to show off his awesome Flintstone-style driving skills! ... maybe some other day. For now, the caveman follows and nods- before doing a double-take.]

Uoah!? [He waves his arms like tentacles.] Okto-pash?

Er, yeah, like that. He's kind of a weirdo. But he ain't tried nothin', so I guess he ain't too bad.

[Pogo's stomach growls loudly.] Nomnom?

Er, no, not -- well, that one ain't nom nom. Ho boy. We'd better get you somethin' to eat before I bring you back home. I don't wanna get us docked points 'cause you decided t' eat th' competition.

[Pogo nods ferventl- wait, he's sniffing the air like a bloodhound again. His eyes suddenly go as wide as saucers, and he dashes off, disappearing around a street corner.] WOOOOOOO!!

[Three seconds later, there's a primal scream of fear and the sound of something metal crumpling like tinfoil. A wheel bounces into view before rolling to a stop...]

[And Pogo comes back with hot dogs (sans buns or condiments), grinning widely as he hands one to Li.] YAH!!
