MEZMERIZE - MAY 17TH
System of a Down's Mezmerize - the first half of their double album Mezmerize/Hypnotize hits stores May 17...
The first single, "B.Y.O.B.," is already on alternative and rock radio, and the band just completed shooting a video for the song in Los Angeles last month directed by Jake Nava. While rumors of a completed track listing for Mezmerize have been circulating online for days, only now has the band confirmed the final word on this.
"B.Y.O.B" is one of the 11 songs (including the intro) that make up Mezmerize. The band has also released the cover artwork for Mezmerize, which was painted by Vartan Malakian, father of guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian.
System have already revealed dates for a European tour in late May - June. Please click here for a complete listing of the confirmed European dates. A U.S. tour is in the planning stages, with a targeted start date in August. Their only confirmed U.S. date so far, their "Souls" 2005 benefit concert, is scheduled for April 24 at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
