whirlwind week
left monday night for D.C. i had a hard time getting on the plane. i was nearly hyper-ventalating all the way down the tunnel, sitting in my seat before take off, going down the run way and lifting off. i've never done so many deep breathing excercises in my life.
I picked up my rental car. THANK GOD it had GPS or i would be lost.
I got to my hotel room, excited that it was advertised as having "high speed internet access". too bad they didn't mention the fact that it was wireless only..
so I ventured out last night and bought myself a nice wifi card.
Class is interesting. i have so many ideas to take back with me. i've been working on my NetViz documentation in my room almost non-stop. I kinda want to venture out and explore the area, but its no fun being a lone tourist. I miss kris :(
This is the first trip that I've ever taken by myself. im growing up finally I guess..
the guy who sits next to me in my training class is the head of IT for the White House and Capitol Hill. cool guy. I didn't mention my loathing for the people he is working for. It was kind of surreal hearing him answer his Blackberry phone with "Office of the President, this is Dave.."
I blame all the crazy storms on H.A.A.R.P.
