weekend review
Number one lesson for the weekend. Drink lots of water! I had what seemed like endless energy through out all of the activity and my vocals didnt quit on me. Water does it! So, Friday we practiced a set and a half for our short notice show the next evening. Towards the end Luke and Jamie showed up to pick up some flyers and they jammed with us for a little while. We caravaned to Oscar's to get ready to do some more flyer posting. We went to Angeli's first for some food and got started. The night didnt end for me til' maybe about four in the morning. My little brother decided to shoot loud music out of his bed room at like 9. I was a little fucking groggy. So begins my Saturday. I got ready and headed to the metro around 3 or so. I wanted to hit the mall to get a new hat. No place has a hat similar to the one I retired several months ago. Not even a place called "the hat store". Disappointed, I hit up some grub in the food court and went riding until maybe five-ish. I got really bored so I went to the band room and started breaking down Sean's drums. I waited at the room for about another hour then Matt and Chill showed up followed by Sean and Oscar. I left to pick up some lotto tickets and headed for Edenborn. The only route that I usually take was blocked because of the parade so I had go around and got stuck in traffic in one of those HOLY SHIT I REALLY GOTTA PISS moments. I held out till I got a parking spot and ran to the bar like they had a 20 foot free beer sign out front. Got me a drink after and started hanging with these cats from Fate's Loss. Cool guys. The show kicked off around 10:30 or so and I was really impressed with those guys. Chill stepped on the mic for the first time in our set and fuckin went off. The set was lacking in a few areas but energenic with great reception from the bunch that stuck around after the first band. Good times.
Went to the band room to drop off eqiupment at about 1:30 or so then we all went to swamp room for some grub. I didnt feel like waiting on food so I went home. I slept pretty late yesterday then hung around the house. Went to blockbuster later and got three good movies for like 25 bucks. Came home and watched all of them until 1:30 this morning. AND HERE I AM!!+1.
Next weekend is gonna be like whoa. Should be an interesting update.
