Well, the below post was from left field wasn't it? I've been pondering why I've been so blah when I get home. it's not b/c of the 85F heat inside my apt (I'll turn the a/c on one of these days). I think that I'm so lackluster b/c I don't have anything to look forward to. Aside from being single...I need some short-term goals! I have a book that I've been working on trying to read for the last 2yrs, multiple video & computer games to either finish or play, ipod that needs to be updated, apt that needs to be beat down with a cleaning stick, a computer that needs to be put back together, a computer that needs a new processor and maybe some memory, rollerblades i've barely used, manga I've yet to read, a pudgy little stomach I want to make harder, a car that needs to be cleaned and maintained, a dentist to be found, a doctor to be found, some pics I need to have actual prints of, figure out if I want to try and study for the GMAT again or Fundamentals certification, and buy some new clothes along with a small little fan. I already have the "pay off the credit card(s)" goal. The first (my eyes) will be paid off in 3 months the other will be dropped significantly by the end of the year once again. I'm not going anywhere this year so it should be good for the following year...maybe. I'll past my goal for saving up for a down payment for a house by the end of next month. Wait...I take that back...it'll be another 2-4 months I think. I still have something to pay for and that's the family reunion. Out of the 7 things I have going on this summer, I have did 2 of them. I'll have 8 if you include going to t-ball and little league baseball games. I was supposed to have went to see Madame Butterfly tonight as a "change of pace" activity but I did some ironing instead. I need to save some of my money for spending it on something else plus it's better to go to something like that with someone else. I mean it would be my first 2-3hr opera experience. I would need someone to whisper comments to about things plus I'd just look lame gong by myself unless I was rich or invited. I went to a wedding last weekend. One of my friends from high school had his 2nd marriage to someone younger than the 1st one. I'm a little skeptical but lets see how this works. I was 10mins late to the wedding and missed it...10 MINUTES!!! It wasn't cool but I was an hour early to the reception. It took 2hrs and some woman to get me to show the folks there how to dance. One of the older guys there..I think on my friends side was a pretty good dancer. Any hoo, I found out that I'll be goind to another wedding in late august (shot gun wedding), for a friend from back in like elementary school. That's what happens when you don't wear the little rain coat. She isn't that bad...better than his last. They told me that it will be short just like this past one so I should show up early, I'll do that. I even missed my nephew's 1st bday!! I told my sis waaay in advance when the wedding was but she still managed to do it. I guess this worked out well with everyone who showed up. He seemed pretty lively with all the people and activity. He was probably wondering why everyone was giving him stuff and why he was allowed to put his hand in a cake w/o getting yelled at. He's a happy little baby who still isn't quite used to being around me yet =/
Fish Toss 2008
This was something that I was chosen for by process of elimination. I didn't even know about it until the day of...I didn't decide to do it until 10mins before it was to start. They original member had a meeting at the start time so they needed someone. I've been kind of curious about it since I saw it last year. We did pretty good. We were 6/15 teams and tied for 1st at 11 fish. We had to do a sudden death thing where we got 19 unofficially but it was still 2 less than the winners who just also happened to be the corp sponsering this. it was fun minus smelling like fish all day and the cuts I received. Yes, I was cut catching a fish. it suprised the hell out of me when I first got stabbed and thought it was just that one fish...NOPE! The gloves were disposable latex so they really didn't do anything same with the 50cent ponchos.
I guess pics can be found here and a vid to come later (unless you know my myspace name). I guess you'll have to leave a comment if it doesn't work.
